Kyle Kasawski is a Canadian politician with the Alberta New Democratic Party (NDP). He has represented Sherwood Park in the Alberta Legislature as an MLA since May 2023, after winning the 2023 provincial election by defeating United Conservative Party incumbent Jordan Walker. The riding had previously been held by Annie McKitrick. Kasawski currently serves as the Official Opposition Shadow Minister for Affordability and Utilities, a role he took on in October 2025. Earlier, he was the NDP’s Shadow Minister for Municipal Affairs (Mid-Sized Cities & Rural Alberta) starting in June 2023 and became the caucus’s sole Shadow Minister for Municipal Affairs in September 2024 under leader Naheed Nenshi.

Kasawski earned a geography and urban planning degree from the University of Alberta. Before entering politics, he worked in the renewable energy sector and was recognized in Edify’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2011 for his solar energy work. He has taught at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) and at McGill University. He became the NDP candidate for Sherwood Park after winning a contested nomination in September 2022.
