Bogalusa City Hall
Bogalusa City Hall is in Bogalusa, Louisiana, at 214 Arkans Hall Ave. It was built in 1917, designed by New Orleans architect Rathbone Debuys, and built by contractor E. N. Moore. The building blends Classical Revival style with Renaissance details and sits on about half an acre. It features a four-column Tuscan-style portico and a five-part, axial design that echoes Palladian layouts.
In 1979, Bogalusa City Hall was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (reference number 79001095) for its architectural beauty and its role in local government. Bogalusa became a city in 1914, and before this building was completed, the City Council met in the offices of the Great Southern Lumber Company.
