Adelieledone
Adelieledone is a genus of octopuses in the Megaleledonidae family. It may be the closest living relative of the Antarctic octopus ancestors that lived about 30 million years ago. They inhabit the Southern Ocean, the Antarctic Ocean, and waters around South Georgia. A distinctive feature is the rostral point on the lower beak. Some scientists place Adelieledone in Megaleledonidae, while others classify it in Octopodidae. There are three recognized species.
