Tiborg is the stage name of Julien Thomas, a French singer-songwriter, musician, record producer and DJ born on July 27, 1980. He trained from a young age on piano, drums and saxophone, and studied jazz and operatic singing, earning a Conservatoire diploma at 19. In 2000 he started his own recording studio and label, and in 2003 he signed with Recall Publishing (distributed by East West/Warner Music) under the name Astro. His cover of Queen’s The Show Must Go On gained attention on French radio and in clubs across Europe and Russia.

In 2008 Tiborg composed the soundtrack for the dancing show No(s) Limit(es). He performed live at notable events, including La Nuit du Pompon Rouge on New Year’s Eve 2009 in La Plagne. In 2013-2014 he released two songs, If U Wanna Be Loved and Ukamane, each with a video clip. He also wrote music for brands such as BMW, Ferrari, Toyota and Rolex under various pseudonyms.

Tiborg developed a live DJ/performer concept and performed at major stages, including the Pharaonic Festival alongside acts like Showtek and Tony Junior. His track Club Believer was used in the Nashville TV show (season 4, episode 1) in 2015, reaching a large audience. He also produced Rise Again for Gabriel Tumbak featuring Gad Elbaz.

As a producer and engineer, Tiborg mastered Claudio Capéo’s album and Amir’s Au Cœur de Moi. He contributed musically to Celine Dion’s Encore un Soir, which achieved Diamond status in France, and later co-produced tracks for Anggun, with What We Remember reaching the Top 10 on the US Billboard Dance chart.

Tiborg is known for remixes of La Roux, Will.I.Am, 30 Seconds to Mars, Alizée, Milk Inc, David Hallyday and Junior Caldera for Polydor and Interscope. His La Roux remix “Bulletproof” was aired on Radio FG and used in an Abercrombie & Fitch ad. He also remixed Christophe Willem’s “Heartbox” for NRJ Music Awards and Milk Inc’s “Forever” for Abercrombie & Fitch in 2010, and did a Japan edit of 30 Seconds to Mars’ “Kings and Queens.” He produced and composed “Be a Star” for Sony Chan and, with his SpeekAir project, remixed Simon & Garfunkel’s “Mrs. Robinson.”
