Chants is a studio jazz album by the Craig Taborn Trio. It was recorded in June 2012 at Avatar Studios in New York City and released on ECM on April 23, 2013. The trio features Craig Taborn on piano, Thomas Morgan on bass, and Gerald Cleaver on drums. The album lasts 64 minutes and 53 seconds, and all compositions are by Craig Taborn. The album was nominated for Jazz Journalists Association’s 2014 Record of the Year, but did not win; Wayne Shorter’s Without a Net took the prize.
