Chalk Cliff and Republican River

Chalk Cliff and the Republican River is a 50-acre conservation area in Webster County, Nebraska, about one mile south of Red Cloud. The site features chalk cliffs along the south bank of the Republican River and includes a stretch of the river itself. It preserves a landscape that Willa Cather wrote about and is part of the Willa Cather Thematic Resources. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 11, 1982 (NRHP reference number 82004919).
