Padua–Treviso–Venice metropolitan area

The Padua–Treviso–Venice metropolitan area (PaTreVe), also known as the Venice city–region, is the large urban area around Padova, Treviso, and Venice in Italy’s Veneto region. It is defined for statistical purposes and does not correspond to a single local government. Administratively, it includes the three cities’ municipalities plus about 240 other communes: 104 in Padova province, 95 in Treviso province, and 44 in Venice province. The metropolitan area has about 2.6 million residents.
