Ceelle Burke
Cecil Louis Burke, known as Ceelle Burke, was a Los Angeles-born musician. He played with the Norman Thomas Quintette and Curtis Mosby's Blue Blowers, then teamed with Leon Rene on the song “Lovely Hannah.” In 1943 he recorded “From Twilight ’Til Dawn” with his orchestra for Capitol Records, produced by Alan Warner and Billy Vera; the song was written by Leon Rene. Burke also played with Jackie Kelso and made several recordings for Leon Rene’s Exclusive Records.
