Cedar Grove (La Plata, Maryland)
Cedar Grove is a historic home near La Plata in Charles County, Maryland. Built around 1854 by Francis Boucher Franklin Burgess, the house is a three-part, late Federal-style building. The main block is two and a half stories tall, with a two-part east wing, all of brick construction in a common bond pattern. The property includes several outbuildings, such as two large barns, a small cattle barn, and several sheds. Cedar Grove was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
