Lady Violet, born Francesca Messina on September 10, 1972, in Florence, Italy, is an Italian singer and dancer known for Italodance and Eurohouse. She started her career in the 1990s singing with the vocal group Jubilee Shouters and recorded the album Black & Blue. She also worked with other labels as a vocalist on dance projects and was the frontwoman for the Euro House project Lady Violet with New Music International. Her first single, Inside to Outside, was a hit across Europe, including Italy, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, Norway, France, and the United Kingdom; it’s a cover of a Limahl song from 1986. Her second single, Beautiful World, reached No. 19 on the Italian charts. She was active mainly from 1996 to 2004 and released music with Edel Records and New Music International.
