Cattle Creek is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in southeastern Garfield County, Colorado. It’s part of the Rifle, Colorado Micropolitan Statistical Area. As of 2020, 662 people lived there, with a population density of about 511 residents per square mile. The area covers 1.295 square miles (3.355 square kilometers), all land, at an elevation of about 6,040 feet.

The community sits along Colorado State Highway 82 in the Roaring Fork Valley, with Cattle Creek, a tributary of the Roaring Fork River, forming its southern edge. Highway 82 runs north 7 miles to Glenwood Springs (the county seat) and south 6 miles to Carbondale. The Glenwood Springs post office (ZIP 81601) serves the area.

The CDP was defined for the 2010 census, and the name comes from Cattle Creek, a stream that flows through the area.
