Caroline Kwambai, born 9 September 1975, is a Kenyan former long-distance runner who mainly competed in road races. Her biggest international achievement was a team gold at the 2001 IAAF World Half Marathon Championships, finishing 12th individually. As a junior, she also earned team gold at the 1990 World Cross Country Championships. Her marathon best is 2:28:47, set in the 2003 Amsterdam Marathon where she finished second. Kwambai raced often in Europe and won several half marathons, including Paris, Prague, Great Scottish Run and Zwolle. In 2003 she won the BIG 25 Berlin and the Fifth Third River Bank Run (25 km). She completed about a dozen marathons, with top-three finishes at the Prague International Marathon in 2006 and 2008, a runner-up finish at Turin Marathon in 2007, and a third place at Singapore Marathon in 2007. Her only marathon win came at Kassel Marathon in Germany in 2012.
