Canton of Montpellier - Castelnau-le-Lez
The canton of Montpellier - Castelnau-le-Lez is an administrative division in southern France. It is part of the Hérault department in the Occitania region. The canton was created in March 2015 during the canton reorganisation. Its seat is in Montpellier. The canton covers 30.00 square kilometers and has a population of about 69,580 (2023), with a density of about 2,319 inhabitants per square kilometer. It comprises five communes (four entirely and one partly). The INSEE code is 34 20. The representatives for 2021–2028 are Renaud Calvat and Jacqueline Markovic.
