Wettringen, Bavaria
Wettringen is a small municipality in Bavaria, Germany. It lies in the Ansbach district, about 30 kilometers west of Ansbach city, inside the Frankenhöhe Nature Park. Wettringen is part of the Nuremberg metropolitan region and belongs to the Schillingsfürst administrative community. The town covers about 21.4 square kilometers and sits around 423 meters above sea level. As of December 31, 2023, about 996 people live there, giving a density of roughly 46 people per square kilometer. It is divided into seven parts. The mayor for 2020–2026 is Matthias Rößler.
