Cambarellus shufeldtii, commonly known as the Cajun dwarf crayfish, is a small freshwater crustacean in the Cambaridae family. It is native to the United States and is found in Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Tennessee, and Texas. It has been introduced to Georgia.

This crayfish lives in a variety of aquatic habitats, especially slow-moving and standing water. It prefers shallow water with plenty of plant cover and can burrow into the bottom sediment during dry periods.

Cambarellus shufeldtii is known to be aggressive and may come into conflict with other crayfish species.

Conservation wise, it is listed as Least Concern by the IUCN and is considered secure by NatureServe (G5).

Taxonomically, its binomial name is Cambarellus shufeldtii. It belongs to the genus Cambarellus and the family Cambaridae. The species was described by Walter Faxon in 1884.
