Ice Road: Vengeance
Ice Road: Vengeance is a 2025 American action thriller directed by Jonathan Hensleigh. It’s the direct sequel to The Ice Road (2021) and stars Liam Neeson, Marcus Thomas, Fan Bingbing, Bernard Curry, Salim Fayad, and Geoff Morrell.
Plot
Ice-road trucker Mike McCann is dealing with survivor’s guilt after his brother Gurty’s death. To honor Gurty, Mike travels to Nepal to scatter his ashes on Mount Everest. In Kodari, a local leader opposes a proposed hydroelectric dam built by Rudra Yash, who works for a corrupt company. After Ganesh Rai, whose father is killed by Rudra’s mercenaries, hides his son Vijay, Vijay joins Mike on a trip.
In Kathmandu, Mike hires local Everest guide Dhani, and they travel with a group on the Kiwi Express, a dangerous road trip called the Road to the Sky. Two mercenaries, Jeet and Yug, hijack the bus to kidnap Vijay. A corrupt police officer named Shankar is involved with Rudra. Mike, Dhani, and Evan (a professor) try to rescue Vijay, facing injuries and danger along the way. Spike, the bus driver, helps but is killed during the pursuit.
The group pushes on through steep, damaged roads to the Annapurna Highlands, where Vijay is reunited with his father. Mike recovers from his injuries, Dhani treats him, and they continue their escape. Rudra’s mercenaries give chase across the border into China-Nepal territory. In the final confrontation, Mike defeats Rudra, who dies when Mike crashes his car off a cliff with the bus. Vijay announces that the village will get electricity and river access. Mike scatters Gurty’s ashes in the Himalayas and, after a moment with Dhani, parts ways with her.
