Cahiracon (Irish: Cathair Dhá Chon, meaning “stone fort of the two hounds”) is a small hamlet and townland in County Clare, Ireland. It lies just off the R473 road, on the Shannon Estuary opposite Foynes in County Limerick. The area is part of the civil parish of Killadysert and the barony of Clonderalaw. In 2002, Saint John Bosco Community College was founded in Cahiracon from the merger of two older schools, and it later moved to a new building in Kildysart. Cahiracon is also where the Missionary Sisters of St. Columban were formed in 1922.
