Fort Smith Classic

The Fort Smith Classic was a golf tournament on the Nationwide Tour held at Hardscrabble Country Club in Fort Smith, Arkansas. It ran from 1998 to 2010 and was the only annual PGA Tour event in Arkansas. The course is a par-70 layout measuring 6,783 yards (6,202 m).

In 2010, the purse was a record $525,000, with $94,500 awarded to the winner. The event’s record score was set in 1998 when Mark Hensby finished 20-under par, 260 total. In 2005, Chris Couch tied the course record with a final round 60.

The 2010 tournament was the last, as organizers would not renew the contract for 2011. The final champion was Chris Kirk.
