Lauschgift
Lauschgift is the fourth studio album by the German hip hop group Die Fantastischen Vier. It was released on 11 September 1995 and runs 56 minutes and 4 seconds. The album was produced by Andreas Rieke and released on Columbia. It peaked at number 2 in Germany, number 10 in Austria, and number 5 in Switzerland. The title is a pun mixing the noun Rauschgift (narcotics) with the verb lauschen (to listen), inspired by a scene in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. The first track samples the German-language dub of the film, where I. Y. Yunioshi mispronounces the word Rauschgift. It sits between Die 4. Dimension (1993) and Live und direkt (1996).
