Buryn Raion

Buryn Raion (Ukrainian: Буринський район) was a district in Sumy Oblast, central Ukraine. Its administrative center was the town of Buryn. It was abolished on 18 July 2020 as part of Ukraine’s reform that reduced the number of raions in Sumy Oblast to five. The last estimated population was 22,962 (2020). The area was about 1,100 square kilometers. Time zone: UTC+2 (winter) and UTC+3 (summer).
