Brian Lorenz is an American politician serving in the Ohio House of Representatives for the 60th district. A Republican, he was appointed in May 2023 to fill the term of Kris Jordan after Jordan’s death in February 2023. Lorenz, who was born January 26, 1973 in Mansfield, Ohio, had previously lost a 2018 GOP primary to Jordan. He was sworn in on May 14, 2023. Before joining the state legislature, Lorenz was the mayor of Powell, Ohio (2016–2017) and a member of Powell’s city council (2010–2023). He was re-elected to the Ohio House in 2024. He is married to Sue, has four children, and lives in Powell. He holds a BA from the University of Toledo and an MA from Ohio State University.
