Content sourced from Wikipedia, licensed under CC BY-SA 3.0.

Brevity codes are short phrases used to speed up communications. They’re common in amateur radio, ships at sea, aviation, police, and the military. Each code can replace a longer message with just a few words. Some codes are restricted or not made public.
