Brad Pitt (boxer)
Brad Pitt (Bradley Michael Pitt), born 8 November 1981 in Blairgowrie, Victoria, Australia, is an Australian heavyweight boxer nicknamed "Hollywood" because of his famous namesake. He is 1.88 m tall, fights orthodox, and weighs about 91 kg.
In his boxing career, he fought 20 times, winning 19 (12 by knockout) and losing 1. As an amateur representing Australia, he won the heavyweight gold at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, beating Harpreet Singh in the final after Singh taunted him and Pitt knocked him out in three punches. He briefly left painting to train for the 2000 Sydney Olympics but did not qualify, then returned to painting before focusing on the 2006 Games.
Pitt later qualified for the 2008 Olympics at the Oceanian Championships, defeating Adam Forsyth; at the Beijing Games he lost to Mohamed Arjaoui. He also competed in the 2008 World Amateur Boxing Championships, losing to Yushan Nijiati, and he was an Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder.
