Boyalık is a small village in the İliç District of Erzincan Province, Turkey. It has 169 residents (2022) and is located at about 39.5644°N, 38.6390°E in the TRT time zone (UTC+3). In 2000 it had 80 houses, 2 mosques and 45 village guards. The village itself has no major ruins, but nearby are traces of the old caravan route called the Padişah Yolu, or “sultan's road,” which is part of an ancient Roman road from Kemah to Erzincan. The road comes to Boyalık from Hasanova in the west and climbs east through a fertile valley with small oaks to the high plain called Gâvuroluğu, the “infidels’ passage.”
