Boronia molloyae
Tall boronia (Boronia molloyae) is a shrub in the citrus family that is native to the coastal southwest of Western Australia. It grows up to about 3 meters tall with hairy branches. The leaves are pinnate with 3–7 narrow leaflets. It flowers from September to December, producing four deep rose-pink flowers on short stalks. Each flower has four rounded petals about 8 mm long.
Tall boronia grows in sandy soils along streams and near swamps from Gingin to Albany, in the Jarrah Forest, Swan Coastal Plain and Warren regions. It is not considered threatened. The name honors Georgiana Molloy; the species was first described in 1843 and has had a few spelling variations before Boronia molloyae became the accepted name in 1998.
