Bonar Creek
Bonar Creek was a small stream in Mimico, Ontario. It flowed into Mimico Creek, which empties into Lake Ontario. The confluence was near Lake Shore Boulevard, in the marsh at the mouth of Mimico Creek. The creek was named after Irish immigrants Bill and Letitia Bonar, who lived in a pumphouse beside the water. Most of Bonar Creek has been buried, with only a short stretch remaining and that part turned into a canal. There are plans to restore some wetlands where the two creeks meet.
