Ashley Lelie is a former American football wide receiver who played in the NFL. He was born on February 16, 1980, in Bellflower, California, and grew up in Hawaii. He attended Radford High School in Honolulu, where he excelled in football, track, and basketball, earning regional honors in all three sports. He later played college football for the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.

Lelie was a first‑round pick in the 2002 NFL draft, selected 19th overall by the Denver Broncos. He became a regular starter in 2004, putting up 54 receptions for 1,084 yards that season. In 2006, he clashed with the Broncos after they traded for Javon Walker, skipped training camp, and asked to be traded.

His NFL journey continued with the Atlanta Falcons in 2006, the San Francisco 49ers in 2007, and the Oakland Raiders in 2008. He briefly signed with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2009 but was released before the season began. Over his career, Lelie totaled 217 receptions for 3,749 yards and 15 touchdowns.

After his playing days, Lelie moved into coaching. He worked as a quality control coach for Nevada in 2013, then as the wide receivers coach for Alabama A&M in 2014. He later connected with former Hawaii teammate Nick Rolovich in coaching roles.

Personal notes: Lelie is the son of Rene Lelie, a retired Marine, and Annetta Lelie, a nurse. In 2006, he donated a scoreboard to Radford High School.
