Bobby Bowsher, born October 5, 1966, in Springfield, Ohio, is a former American race car driver. He is a two-time ARCA Racing Series champion, winning the title in 1992 and 1994. He comes from a racing family: his father, Jack Bowsher, is a three-time ARCA champion, and his brother Todd Bowsher also raced in ARCA.

Bowsher’s ARCA career began in 1988 with his father’s team, driving the No. 01 Ford at Kil-Kare and finishing 21st after starting 22nd. In 1989 he ran his first full season, finishing fourth in the standings with eight top-tens, including two top-fives at Talladega (5th) and Salem (3rd). In 1990, racing the No. 21, he won his first ARCA race at Flat Rock and also won at Kil-Kare, finishing third in points with seven more top-tens.

In 1991 he won four races, tying for the most in the season, earned his first pole at Flat Rock, and finished second in points to Bill Venturini. The breakthrough came in 1992, when he started strong and, after many top-tens, won back-to-back late-season races at the Illinois State Fairgrounds and Toledo to take his first ARCA title ahead of Bob Keselowski.

In 1993 he won one race at Toledo and recorded 12 top-tens, finishing third in the standings. 1994 saw another title run, with seven straight top-tens to start the year and a win at Louisville, followed by ten straight top-tens and two more wins at Kil-Kare and Toledo to claim his second championship ahead of Frank Kimmel.

The 1995 season brought two wins and a second-place finish in the standings behind Andy Hillenburg. In 1996, after a rough Daytona start, he won three poles in the next five races, plus wins at Louisville, Shady Bowl, and Kil-Kare, ending second in points behind Tim Steele. This was his last full-time ARCA season.

From 1997 to 2002, he stepped back from ARCA and ran three ASA National Tour races in 2001, with his best finish being 18th. He returned to ARCA for a partial schedule in 2003-2004 with his family’s team, driving the No. 55 Ford at Talladega and other tracks; his final top-ten came in 2004 at Springfield (7th), and he did not race in ARCA after that. His last ARCA race was the ReadyHosting.com 200 at Chicagoland in 2004.

Bowsher is married and has a daughter named Brittany.
