Blue Deer school
Blue Deer School, also known as Cheongnokpa, is named after a 1946 poetry collection by three Korean poets. The book celebrates Korea’s natural beauty and signals the country’s awakening after years of Japanese rule. The poets have different styles, but they share themes of hope and human values. The collection’s title comes from Park Mok-wol’s poem "Blue Deer," which expresses the idea of spring returning after occupation. The anthology includes 15 poems by Park Mok-wol, 12 by Cho Chi-hun, and 12 by Pak Tu-jin. In 2016, Korea marked the 70th anniversary with events like public readings of the poems.
