Black Hawk, Wisconsin
Black Hawk is an unincorporated community in the town of Troy, Sauk County, Wisconsin. It sits along County Highway C, about 5.9 miles east of Plain. A post office operated there from 1866 to 1906. The community was named after Black Hawk, the Sauk and Fox leader who lived from 1767 to 1838. The area is in the Central Time Zone and has area code 608; its elevation is about 778 feet.
