Oxford Psalter
The Oxford Psalter is a 12th‑century psalter kept in the Bodleian Library in Oxford (Douce 320). It is written in Anglo‑Norman Old French. Its text is almost the same as the Winchester Psalter, which uses Latin and Old French. Francisque Michel published a full transcription, Libri Psalmorum versio antiqua Gallica e cod. ms. in Bibl. Bodleiana, and notes Winchester variants in the footnotes under Cott. Codex (Cotton Codex). The Winchester Psalter shelfmark is British Library Cotton MS. Nero C.iv. Dating estimates place the Oxford manuscript around 1140–1150 (Digital Bodleian); other sources say the first half or mid‑12th century for both psalters.
