Bjorn Thorsrud
Bjorn Thorsrud (October 7, 1963 – October 19, 2021) was an American music producer, audio engineer, programmer, and mixer. He earned a bachelor’s degree in physics and music from the University of Nevada, Reno. Thorsrud produced film scores and albums for rock and pop artists and contributed to every Smashing Pumpkins record from Adore (1998) to Oceania (2012). He previously worked for Taj-Motown Records and started his own label, Tri Records. He worked with artists including Billy Corgan, David Coverdale, The Dandy Warhols, Bruce Dickinson, Marianne Faithfull, The Frogs, Monster Magnet, Sleeping at Last, Whitesnake, and Zwan. He lived in Las Vegas, Nevada. Thorsrud died suddenly on October 19, 2021, at age 58, 12 days after his birthday, from unknown causes.
