Billy Taylor Trio is a studio jazz album by American pianist Billy Taylor. The tracks were recorded in New York City on four dates: November 18, 1952; December 10, 1952; November 2, 1953; and December 29, 1953. It was released in 1955 by Prestige as two volumes (PRLP 7015 and PRLP 7016). The material on the album was originally issued as singles in 1953 and 1954 and later compiled as a full album. A CD reissue followed in 1995. All compositions are by Billy Taylor unless noted otherwise. In Taylor's discography, this album comes after Jazz Live at Storyville (1952) and before Cross Section (1953-54).
