Bernard Nabonne
Bernard Nabonne (1897–1951) was a French writer from Béarn. He became known in the 1920s for novels like La Butte aux Cailles (1925) and Maitena (1927), the latter winning the Prix Renaudot. Nabonne also wrote Joseph Bonaparte (1950), which won the Prix Thérouanne, as well as À la Gasconne (1935) and À l’abandon (1932), both prize-winning works. In addition to fiction, he published several books on French history.
