Berche is a small commune in eastern France, in the Doubs department of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. It covers 13.11 square kilometers and sits at elevations between 305 and 448 meters. In 2023, about 534 people lived there, giving a density of around 172 inhabitants per square kilometer. Berche is part of the Montbéliard area and the Pays de Montbéliard Agglomération intercommunality. The mayor for 2020–2026 is Jean-Luc Petiot. The coordinates are roughly 47.4733°N, 6.7425°E.
