Bedell Bridge State Park
Bedell Bridge State Park, also known as Bedell Bridge State Historic Site, is a 74-acre park in Haverhill, New Hampshire, along the Connecticut River. The park is open year-round and offers walking, picnicking, non-motorized boating, and fishing. There is a Fish and Game boat launch inside the park. The site is where the Bedell Covered Bridge once stood; it was the second-longest covered bridge in the United States before it was destroyed by wind in 1979. The bridge’s stone piers remain in the river. The bridge used to connect Haverhill, NH to Newbury, Vermont.
