Ballad of a Thin Line Man
Ballad of a Thin Line Man is the second studio album by American band Giant Sand. It was released in 1986 on Zippo Records. The album features indie rock and alternative rock and was produced by Giant Sand and Eric Westfall, with recording done at Baby'O Recorders, Granny's House, and West 3 Studios. In the band’s discography, it comes after Valley of Rain (1985) and before Storm (1988). Critics noted its promise: AllMusic said the band hadn’t yet reached greatness but was on its way to something special, while Trouser Press praised Howe Gelb’s performance on the ringing, Neil Young–inspired rockers.
