Bakočević (Serbian Cyrillic: Бакочевић) is a Montenegrin surname from Montenegro. The Bakočevići were a brotherhood (bratstvo) of the Kuči tribe from Zatrijebač. Today the surname is found among the Kuči and Rovca in Montenegro, and in Zlatibor and Mačva in Serbia. The families celebrate the patron saint Jovanjdan (St. John).
