Bajo Caracoles is a tiny village and municipality in Lago Argentino Department, Santa Cruz Province, Argentina. It sits about 613 meters above sea level along Route 40, around 127 kilometers south of Perito Moreno and 3 kilometers south of the turnoff to Cueva de las Manos. The population was 31 people in 2001. The area has a semi-arid climate (BSk) and the time zone is UTC-3.
