Bailey's Prairie is a small village in Brazoria County, Texas, United States. The population was 775 at the 2020 census. It was established in 1818 and named after pioneer James Briton "Brit" Bailey (1779–1832).

Geography
Bailey's Prairie sits in central Brazoria County along Texas State Highway 35. It’s about 5 miles east of Angleton, the county seat, and 8 miles west of West Columbia. The area covers about 7.7 square miles, mostly land with a small amount of water.

Demographics
As of the 2000 census, there were 694 people in Bailey's Prairie, living in 237 households and 201 families. The community was predominantly White and African American, with a mix of other races. The median household income at that time was about $73,125, and a small share of residents lived below the poverty line. By 2020 the population had risen to about 775.

Education
Bailey's Prairie is served by the Angleton Independent School District, including Angleton High School. For higher education, it lies within the Brazosport College service area.
