Polaris (novel)
Polaris is a science fiction mystery novel by American author Jack McDevitt. It is the second book in the Alex Benedict series, coming after A Talent for War and before Seeker. Antiquities dealer Alex Benedict and his assistant Chase Kolpath investigate a decades-old mystery—the disappearance of all passengers and crew aboard an interstellar yacht sixty years earlier. Their search spans the stars as they uncover what happened. Polaris was published in November 2004 by Ace Books and was nominated for the Nebula Award for Best Novel.
