Avis Alaska Sports Complex
The Avis Alaska Sports Complex is a multi-purpose sports facility on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus in Anchorage, Alaska. It opened in 1978. The ice arena, the Chuck Homan Ice Rink, seats 800 and is home to the Alaska Anchorage Seawolves men's hockey team. The Seawolves played there from 1979 to 1983. From 1983 to 2019, they played most games at Sullivan Arena in midtown Anchorage, but practiced at the complex. Beginning with the 2019–20 season, budget cuts led the team to move its on-campus games back to the complex. The facility also has a gym, swimming pool, two fitness centers, and a dance studio. Over the years, the complex has been known as UAA Sports Center, Wells Fargo Sports Complex, Seawolf Sports Complex, and is now the Avis Alaska Sports Complex.
