Arty Froushan
Arty Froushan, born Artemas Bolour-Froushan on 16 April 1993 in Hartford, Connecticut, is an English-American actor. He grew up in South London with an English mother and an Iranian father, and he also has maternal French heritage. He studied at St Paul’s School in Barnes, earned a BA in French and German from Brasenose College, Oxford in 2015, and trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), finishing in 2017. His stage debut was White Pearl at the Royal Court Theatre, and his television debut came in 2017 with Joe Orton Laid Bare.
In 2019, Froushan joined Carnival Row as Jonah Breakspear, a main role he continued through the show’s run (2019–2023). He also appeared in Knightfall (2019) and Strike Back: Vendetta (2020). He performed in Leopoldstadt in the West End in 2021 and on Broadway in 2022. He played Ser Qarl Correy in House of the Dragon season 1. His first feature film, The Persian Version, premiered at Sundance in 2023. In 2025 he starred as Buck Cashman in Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+, and played Noël Coward in Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale. He is set to play Patrick Bateman in the London revival of the American Psycho musical at the Almeida Theatre in early 2026.
