Marjorie Hood
Marjorie Hood (September 14, 1913 – June 25, 2006) was an American baseball player in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League (AAGPBL). A native of Bell Buckle, Tennessee, she played as an outfielder in 1943 for the Rockford Peaches and the South Bend Blue Sox. Some details of her career from that year are not fully recorded. Hood died in Chattanooga, Tennessee, at age 92. The AAGPBL is honored with a permanent display at the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, opened in 1988, recognizing the league's history.
