Union Glacier
Union Glacier is a large, crevassed glacier in the Heritage Range of the Ellsworth Mountains in Western Antarctica. It receives ice from several smaller streams and drains through the middle of the range, starting from the Edson Hills on the west and flowing east between Pioneer Heights and Enterprise Hills. The glacier was mapped by the U.S. Geological Survey using surveys and U.S. Navy air photos in 1961–66. The name was given by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names in connection with the Heritage Range. Union Glacier hosts the Union Glacier Blue-Ice Runway, the Union Glacier Camp, and the Union Glacier Station.
