Melancholia Hymns is the second and final studio album by British alternative rock band Arcane Roots. It was released on 15 September 2017 and blends alternative rock, progressive rock, and electronica. The album lasts 54 minutes and 5 seconds and was released on Easy Life Records and Red Essential Records, produced by Chris Coulter. The band’s previous album was Blood & Chemistry (2013).

The second single, Matter, premiered on BBC Radio 1’s The Rock Show on 21 May 2017. On 11 September 2017, Annie Mac named Indigo as her Hottest Record in the World for the week. After release, Melancholia Hymns reached number 56 on the UK Albums Chart, number 6 on the UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart, and number 25 on the Vinyl Albums Chart. The album received mixed to positive reviews and appeared on year-end lists from Kerrang! (31st), The Independent (5th), and Rockshot Magazine. All tracks were written by Arcane Roots.
