Edward W. North

Edward W. North (c. 1778 – May 15, 1843) was a physician who served as the mayor of Charleston, South Carolina, from 1833 to 1836, serving three consecutive terms. Born around 1778, he died on May 15, 1843. He studied at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 1797. In 1826 he married Arabella Ann Dart. He was preceded as mayor by Henry L. Pinckney and succeeded by Robert Y. Hayne.
