Antony Deschamps
Antony Deschamps (born Antoine-François-Marie Deschamps Saint Amand; 12 March 1800, Paris – 28 October 1869, Passy) was a French poet. He was the brother of Émile Deschamps, an early Romantic writer, and he influenced him. Deschamps wrote poems, especially political satires published in 1831. In 1829 he published a partial verse translation of Dante's Divine Comedy that brought him some fame. His poems Dernières Paroles and Résignation were republished with his brother's in 1841. He also worked with his friend Hector Berlioz. He died in 1869, the same year as Berlioz.
