Andrzej Olszowski
Andrzej Olszowski (27 January 1621 – 29 August 1677) was a Polish Catholic church leader, writer, and political speaker. He was consecrated bishop on 8 August 1661 and served as bishop of Chełmno from 1661 to 1674. In 1674 he became archbishop of Gniezno and primate of Poland, a position he held until his death in 1677. Born in Olszowa, he was provost of the Poznań cathedral chapter from 1657 to 1667 and Crown Deputy Chancellor from 1666 to 1676. He died in Gdańsk at the age of 56. Olszowski wrote and published several political works and collections of speeches in Polish and Latin, dealing with politics and the Polish throne.
