Oswego Municipal Airport
Oswego Municipal Airport (ICAO: K67, FAA LID: K67) is a public airport owned by the City of Oswego, serving Oswego, Kansas. It has no IATA code. The airport sits about 3 miles east of Oswego’s downtown, at an elevation of 830 feet (253 meters). Its coordinates are 37.2825°N, 95.07417°W.
The airport has one runway, 17/35, which is 2,500 by 50 feet (762 by 15 meters) and paved with asphalt.
In the 12 months ending December 31, 2010, the airport had 600 aircraft operations, averaging 50 per month: 70% local general aviation and 30% transient general aviation. There were 3 based aircraft, all single-engine.
The City planned to build a longer runway (3,200 by 60 feet), add fuel services and new hangars, and repair the current runway. A new access road from U.S. Highway 160 was under construction and expected to be completed by spring 2011. Its proximity to the Joplin, Missouri area was seen as an opportunity to expand corporate and general aviation.
